December

Merry Christmas! We want to thank each of you  for your support during 2005.

We are still waiting for a shipment date from our shipper for the container to Liberia.  We might have room for some additional items, especially if you have a laptop computer that you are looking to replace: we will have room for these.

Mission trips are being planned for Liberia in June and Indonesia in July.  If you are interested in going on one of these trips, you need to contact me now.  We have scheduled an informational meeting for the Liberian mission trip from June 20th to July 6th at my house on January 14th at 7pm.  Please RSVP if you can come to this meeting by responding to this email.

Tricia Joos reports that our teachers have completed their training for the Accelerated Learning Program.  This program is designed to bring all of our children up to their grade level at an accelerated pace.  Four of our teachers were trained to train the other teachers.  Our teachers were considered the best out of the 42 teachers receiving the training.  Tricia returns home to St. Louis for Christmas in about a week.

Our 77 children in India are doing fine.  I received a note from Kiron Gaikwad, our country director, recently.  He mentioned that we have two more children there; a 6 year old boy and his 3 year old sister.  Their parents died of AIDS recently and their relatives kicked them out of the house.  This exemplifies why we are there and what you help support.
