Our mission teams have returned from Liberia with around 3000 pictures, great stories of rain storms, thunder and lightning tales that will shock you, mice attacks during the night, and unique food eating opportunities. But the bottom line is very simple: we made an impact in the lives of hundreds of kids and our staff. Consider joining us next year on one of the teams.
The May team concentrated on our sponsorship program while the June team was geared toward education.
We looked at the land that we purchased near our 15 Gate school and decided to purchase the acre next to it so we had enough room for the 500 children we want to serve there. We want to start construction on this K-12 school as soon as enough funds are raised. We also looked at other potential school sites. It is very sad traveling anywhere in Liberia and seeing children not in school. Around 75% of all the schools in Liberia were destroyed during the war and many people cannot afford to send their children to school. We have 700 children on our waiting list!
Garage sale fundraiser:
The Eatherly’s will be hosting a garage sale to benefit All God’s Children on August 11-13th at their home on the South Hill of Puyallup. This will present an excellent opportunity to raise funds for AGC and to share our vision. We’d like to set up an information table where someone could talk one-on-one with people about the mission of AGC. We all have extra things laying around the house, and boxes in our attics and garages that we really don’t need. Please consider making a tax deductible donation with these useful items. All remaining items will be disposed of at the end of the sale. Your participation through donation or helping out at the sale itself is greatly appreciated. We especially need help with finding tables to borrow and babysitting. Please contact us to arrange drop-off of donations, or to let us know if you would like to help. Thank you!
Tricia Joos:
Tricia leaves for her one year stay in Liberia this coming Saturday. She will be staying with a lady from Texas and her adopted Liberian boy for the first month or two. Pray for her daily as she needs this support being away from family and friends that all of us depend on.
India:
We continue to raise funds for additional projects needed here. We want to build a fence around the dormitories to provide for better security and we need to purchase the land next to ours to secure a better source of water.
Thank-you for your continued support of our operations in India and Liberia. We have kids that need sponsors in both countries. Contact me if you would like to be a part of this ministry for only $25 per month for a child or $50 per month for a teacher.
